    Perfect Middle Size Backpack

Nice light weight bag yet robust enough to instil confidence that it will protect your kit. After a short wearing-in period it is very comfortable and makes it easy to carry a weight which would be impossible in a shoulder bag. The bags appearance does not shout-out 'Camera Bag' which is an advantage.

I was looking for a bag with an opening against your back for greater security while using public transport and walking through London - I couldn't find one with a large enough compartment. Then I spotted this with flaps that clip over the zip to the storage compartment, making it considerably more inaccessible - it works very well.

The Velcro dividers in the main compartment allow reasonable customising to fit your particular kit, although using the supplied dividers limits you to a central position camera body with attached long telephoto lens. Plus up to 6 upright short lenses on each side - obviously these could also accommodate other accessories like flashguns, meters etc.
The main compartment is deep enough to accommodate a compact system camera body with an attached Battery Grip - perfect for me.
In a perfect world - Nest would supply a couple more Velcro dividers and I would really like the central partitions to be adaptable to allow two camera bodies with shorter lenses attached to be positioned lens to lens - although this would reduce the pocket space on either side.

The inside lid of the bag has a deep pocket designed for a laptop - I use it to hold a grey card for colour balance. There are two zipped net pockets useful for documents, memory cards etc.

On the outside of the bag is a similar pocket to the laptop one inside, but slightly longer - this is accessible (and therefore less secure) without having to open the main compartment. The sides of the bag have strapping loops and one side has a fairly tight elasticated pocket which would hold a small water-bottle, or umbrella or the end of a monopod. On the other side the pocket unzips completely and will perfectly contain the legs of a Walkstool or a travel tripod the top of which is secured with a strap. Alternatively a tripod can be strapped to the centre of the lid and there is a pull-out pouch to take a tripod leg.

The bag comes with a loose wrap-over rain cover which will not fit if you have anything attached to the outside of the bag.

All in all a very versatile bag at a reasonable price.
